GHS Green Initiative
As our business grows, we are taking a responsible approach regarding our impact on the environment, our community, our customers, and the economy. GHS has taken the initiative to significantly reduce our power consumption in our office facility and data center. In our office space, we’ve modified our lighting footprint and placed the number of high power-consuming devices with greener alternatives. We’ve also consolidated print operations thereby reducing ozone-emitting devices. As the number of server nodes has doubled over the past year, we’ve significantly reduced our data center power consumption with our server virtualization effort. In just a few months, we’ve reduced our power consumption by 15%. The impact this has not only addresses environmental concerns, but realizes a significant cost savings.
Along with these power saving initiatives, GHS engages in good stewardship practices whereby we reuse and recycle materials whenever possible, all while maintaining information privacy concerns.
